FRED JORDAN MINISTRY
Why do we serve at the Fred Jordan Mission?
We seek to bring Jesus glory by coming alongside the staff and volunteers at the Mission in order to see the homeless children, families, and individuals meet Jesus in the city of Los Angeles. We desire to be partners for the witness that Fred Jordan Mission has in Los Angeles by bringing our people to help serve their outreach to the homeless of Skid Row.
"But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in it's welfare you shall find your welfare...do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are My people." Jeremiah 29:7
What do we do at the Fred Jordan Mission?
We conduct a Chapel Service that includes worship and a message from the Bible. There are opportunities to pray with people afterward and share the gospel individually with the folks that attend. The team then helps prepare and distribute the meal for the evening. The opportunities to serve are numerous! Most of all, we find every possible, biblical way to show the love of Jesus (Luke 19:10, John 3:16).
