For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
It is so important for us to spend time every day in the word of God. The word is alive and powerful, so when we pick it up, it speaks to us and meets us where we are. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and it cuts into us. What does it cut? It cuts our excuses, it cuts our justifications, it cuts the lies, and it cuts our masks, but it does not only cut, it also heals. The word has the power to heal us and encourage us in the Lord and remind us of all the wonderful promises we have in Christ. Be diligent to make time for the word every day and it will bless you beyond all measure.
For the King,
