If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.
Adversity has a way of showing our true colors by finding the cracks in our armor and exposing our weaknesses. A man or woman who finds their strength in their own ability will always find their strength is small because, most times, their strength in themselves is rooted in things they don't have control of. A man that finds strength in his intelligence could face a tragic instance that robs him of much of his mental faculty. A man that finds strength in his financial situation could come across an unforeseen loss that could leave him bankrupt.
When the areas in which we have our strength are removed, we are left feeling faint, like we've been punched in the gut and we can't breathe. Left unto ourselves, we are all weak when the cracks of our armor are exposed. That is why we must put our hope in Jesus and find our strength by anchoring our lives on the Rock. Jesus is our Rock and strong fortress and our anchor is our faith in Him!
Because of Him, our strength is great!
