And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
I have always been impressed and comforted when I've read the account of Jesus walking on the water. Jesus was showing His disciples that even the greatest of storms are under His feet. But it doesn't stop there. Jesus then invites Peter to join Him on the water, showing both Peter and us that if we will keep our eyes on Him, we too can walk over the top of our fiercest storms.
