Psalm 49:6-9

Those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches, none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him—For the redemption of their souls is costly, and it shall cease forever— that he should continue to live eternally, and not see the Pit.
Psalm 49:6-9

The sons of Korah wrote this song to declare the truth that the foolish man's dependency and trust in his wealth will fail him when it comes to ransoming a life before the Lord. Redemption demands a cost we can never afford, for the wages of our sin is death. Fortunately, God had a plan. He would send His only Son to die for our sins thereby paying the price for our redemption and assuring us of an eternal future. His payment in His blood was sufficient to remove our sins and failures from us!

He paid the price for me,
