John 7:37-38

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
John 7:37-38

We often talk about the things we receive from our relationship with Christ. We are forgiven (John 3:16). We have a future and hope in heaven (John 14:3). We can be called the friends of God (John 15:15). There is now not condemnation for us (Romans 8:1). We can know love, joy, and peace (Galatians 5:22).

What we do not often talk about is what must flow out of us if we are to call Jesus Lord. If we are truly followers of Jesus, we must allow the Holy Spirit to flow out of our heart. We must have an impact on the world around us. They must know us for our love for each other (John 13:34,35). They must know us for our forgiveness and tenderheartedness (Ephesians 4:32) . And they must know us for the good we do, even to those who hate us (Luke 6:27).

Let's pray this today, "Holy Spirit. Fill us, that we may overflow and bring blessings to the world around us. We want to see your glory Lord."
