Galatians 3:3

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 3:3

Upon arriving back from his first missionary journey, the apostle Paul found that the churches in Galatia had fallen into error. Many had sought to make living in strict obedience to the Law of Moses a requirement of the Christian faith.

These men and women had lost sight of God and the power of His grace that had changed their lives in the first place. Taking great pride in their achievements, they forgot this very important truth: Salvation is not about what you can accomplish for God, it's about what has been accomplished for you in Jesus Christ.

I have to ask myself every day, "Am I obediently following where He is leading me, or am I carelessly going wherever I want, checking off a list of religious tasks, and hoping the Lord follows along and blesses my life?"

Today, let's seek the Lord with honest heart, knowing that He is eternally faithful and unfailingly sufficient. Stand together with Paul when he proclaims in Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
