Job 9:32-33

For He is not a man, as I am, That I may answer Him, And that we should go to court together. Nor is there any mediator between us, Who may lay his hand on us both.
Job 9:32-33

Even though the book of Job was probably written during the time of Abraham, suddenly here in the midst of Job's crying out for justice, we find ourselves smack dab in the middle of the Gospel. Job is saying, if God were a man then he could approach Him and plead his case. Or if there were someone between him and God, He could take away the rod of judgment. And Jesus did exactly both of those things. He became man and mediator.

How many times in life have you just needed "a hand?" Let's all take some time today to be thankful that there is one (Jesus) "Who may lay a hand on us both."

Clinging to the Father with Jesus' help,

Pastor Gerard Deleeuw
