Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

When something does not go your way in life, have you ever thought, "God must not love me right now"? Whether it be getting passed up for a job promotion you thought was all yours, getting sick at the worst time, an unexpected expense with your car or house, not having victory over a particular sin, and the list goes on. So often we will look at what is going wrong in our lives as a sign that God no longer loves us, but this verse shows that we have the wrong view of God’s love when we do that. God doesn’t show His love for us by letting everything go our way, He shows it by His sacrifice on the cross. So next time something goes wrong and you are wondering if God still loves you, ask yourself this, "Did Christ die for my sin?" The answer is always yes!

For the King,

Daniel Batistelli
