Isaiah 43:25

I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.
Isaiah 43:25

When the light of God's holiness shines upon us, we see all too clearly the darkness in our hearts and realize our desperate need for mercy.

The justice of God calls for sin to carry the consequence of death. The grace of God calls for our penalty of death to be paid for us by the only One who deserves no penalty, His Son. Jesus’ sacrifice is freely offered to us as a permanent remedy to our broken lives. If I acknowledge my sin to Him, God will run to me with the accomplished promise of forgiveness.

It is for God's own sake and for the sake of His holy name that God will never break His promise to wipe out our transgressions and remember them no more. Knowing this today, you and I can walk in the assurance of His grace. When the weight of our wrongdoing stops us in our tracks, let's look up and grab the hand of the One who forgives, restores, empowers, and leads.
