2 Thessalonians 1:3

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.
2 Thessalonians 1:3

Would you like to take a test to see if your faith is growing like those in Thessalonica? Here is an easy one for you: Do you love people more now than you ever did? Faith, in the life of a believer, is not just an intellectual exercise whereby we agree with what the Bible says. Faith goes beyond the mind, down into the heart where our actions then come flowing out. In other words, growing faith produces fruit in our lives and one of the greatest fruits of faith is seen in how we love.

Paul knew the Thessalonians were growing in their faith because he saw and heard how much they had abounded in love for one another. I always remember the words of James, the brother of Jesus, who said, "I'll show you my faith by my works," and he says that because a lot of people can say what they believe, but the real evidence of what someone believes is shown by what they do.

If you would like a boost in your faith today, go out and love people, even the difficult ones. This is what God modeled for us, and this is what God desires of us.
