2 Corinthians 5:14-15

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15

I have been compelled to do a lot of things; some dumb, and some much nobler. The thing with compulsion, though, is there is always something driving what you feel compelled to do. If I am going to go to a restaurant that I know has amazing food I like, I feel compelled to not eat prior so I am really hungry and can enjoy the food. The thought of the amazing food compels me not to eat!

If I am going to love people, the question becomes, does Jesus' love compel me? The thought of His overwhelming love at the cross should motivate me to love to the extent to which He loved me. My hope for you today is that the wonderful love Jesus displayed would compel you to no longer live for you, but live for Jesus.

Resting in Him,

Pastor Sean Boehm
