Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

Did you know that God created a trinity of trinities on the first day of creation? Let me explain by breaking Genesis 1:1 into three parts.

1.God created time, "In the beginning." Time is past, present, and future.
2.God created space, "the heavens." Space is width, depth, and height.
3.God created matter, "the earth." Matter is solid, liquid, and gas.

There is only one God. (Deuteronomy 6:4). But God exists in three persons. God is the Father, (Philippians 1:2). God is the Son (Hebrews 1:8). God is the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4). Paul wrote "For since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen…" (Romans 8:20). So it should not surprise us to find from the very first sentence of the bible, God begins to show us His triune nature in His creation.

Standing in awe of His glory,

Pastor Rod Harris
