Luke 17:15-16

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
Luke 17:15-16

In Luke 17, Jesus went to a village where He ended up healing 10 lepers. He commanded them to go to a priest and show themselves. Those priests would have had to break out the never-used scriptures of Leviticus 13 and 14 to verify these lepers had truly been healed.

While on the way to the priest, one of the lepers looked at his healed body and realized this had to be the work of God. So with a loud voice, he glorified God and went back to give Jesus thanks. Jesus asked the healed leper where the other nine men were, but then commended the one returning leper for his faith.

That can be us at times, can't it? God has done such a powerful work in our lives, yet we don't give Him the thanks He deserves. He got rid of something much more lethal than leprosy, the power of sin. How thankful are you to Christ for forgiving your sins? Thank God today for all He has done!

Thankful,

Pastor Ron Kitchell
