Ephesians 6:5-6

Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.
Ephesians 6:5-6

If Christ were to return today, would you be glad to show Him the work you are doing? It is so easy to get settled in and do the bare minimum at work; to fit in with the rest and go unnoticed. As Christians, we should be giving our best work in everything that we do. It doesn't matter if we like the people we work for or not, there should be a fear that falls upon us when we are not putting forth our best effort. We are not to be like the rest of the world that only works hard when others are watching, but we are to be mindful that our God is always watching. Since we are called to put our best foot forward, we are to work sincerely from the heart not as men-pleasers, but as servants of the Lord. Be mindful throughout your day that the Lord is always with you and He sees the work of your hands. Is it pleasing to Him?
