Luke 18:13-14

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Luke 18:13-14

Do you want to know the secret sauce to prayer? It is a heart submitted to the Lord. Here, Jesus gives a parable about two men who went to pray, on the surface one man, the Pharisee, looked righteous and the other man being a tax collector, was a sinner. The Pharisee's heart was far from God and exalted himself while the tax collector submitted his heart and humbled himself before the Lord. Jesus tells us that it was the tax collector who was right with God and not the Pharisee. God cares most about the position of your heart. If you humble yourself and submit your heart before Him in prayer, He will exalt you.

Blessings,
