Psalm 139:1-4

O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O LORD, You know it all.
Psalm 139:1-4

Do you ever get the feeling that no one understands what you are going through or how you really feel about things? Or do you ever wonder why you do what you do, say what you say, or feel like you feel? David sometimes felt this way and penned this psalm when he realized with great joy and wonder that there was Someone who not only knew, but understood everything about him.

Like David, I find great relief and comfort knowing that my Father in heaven understands me even when I am misunderstood by those around me. He has examined me thoroughly and no detail escapes Him. He knows and cares about how I feel and what I fear. He completely comprehends everything about me even when I don't know what is going on inside my head. He knows what I am about to say; what I am about to think. There is nothing He doesn't know! His knowledge is as infinite as His love towards me. It is no wonder that David concludes, "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me! It is impossible for me to understand."

It is certainly amazing that God, with such intimate knowledge about every aspect of my being, chose me to be His own adopted child, and my Father will not abandon or forsake me. He has shown His light into my soul and cleanses me of everything that displeases Him.
