1 Corinthians 3:5-6
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
1 Corinthians 3:5-6
As we go out to live our lives before the world, God will give us those opportunities to share our faith. If you’re anything like me, most of the times you feel like you’re having very little effect. People just don’t seem to respond. But this verse in 1 Corinthians gives me great hope. We never know what kind of work God is doing in that person’s life before or after we talk to them.
I know of one brother who came to know the Lord because he ended up with a drawer full of gospel tracts he had gotten from different people but just couldn’t throw them away. One day he decided to read them and gave his heart to Jesus. This man went on to become a very effective and well-known evangelist and the Lord has used him to bring many into the Kingdom. We never know what seeds we may be planting when we share our faith, but we do know that God is there to make it grow.
Willing to plant and willing to water,
