1 John 2:26-27

1 John 2:26-27

These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

1 John 2:26-27

Have you noticed how truth is becoming more and more relative these days? The world has very little solid foundation to stand on. John’s warning about false teachers reminds us of the importance of discernment in our spiritual lives. In a world full of competing voices and ideologies, how can we stay grounded in truth? The key lies in knowing God’s Word and being led by His Spirit.

As you take time to read your Bible and spend time in prayer today, pray for spiritual discernment. Ask God to help you recognize truth from error, and to give you the courage to stand firm in your faith. In what ways can you deepen your knowledge of Scripture to better equip yourself against deception? Read and study, then read and study again. God will reveal Himself to you as you seek Him.
