1 Kings 18:21

1 Kings 18:21

And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

1 Kings 18:21

Elijah has been speaking to the Israelites as a prophet for years and they continue to live life for themselves. They aren’t connected with God and are instead following false gods like the Baals. Elijah tells this group of people, it’s time to make a choice. You can’t keep bouncing back between God and the Baals, you need to choose one.

How many people nowadays are doing this same thing? I will follow the Lord! Unless there’s a good football game on. I will follow God! Unless the pastor says something I don’t like. I will devote my life to Jesus! Unless He doesn’t answer my prayer the way I want Him to.

That’s the question for us. How long will we bounce between the world and the Lord? What’s keeping you from fully following Him? Repent and turn to the Lord!

I have decided to follow Jesus,

Pastor Ron Kitchell
