1 Peter 4:12-13
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
1 Peter 4:12-13
When we’re in the middle of trials and suffering, it’s easy to question God’s love. Yet Peter reminds us that we are “beloved” (the focused object of love) even in the midst of fiery trials. Our suffering doesn’t negate God’s love; rather, it can draw us closer to Him.
So, how might your difficulties become opportunities to experience God’s love more deeply. How can you open your heart to receive His love, even when circumstances are challenging? By keeping in mind that everything that comes into your life has passed through God’s loving hands. He always has a purpose beyond our sight or ability to comprehend, “working all things together.” So, we can take comfort in being His “beloved” child.
