1 Peter 4:8-9
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
1 Peter 4:8-9
Peter emphasizes the importance of having an unparalleled, zealous, enthusiastic love for our fellowman, reminding us, that kind of love cleans many a slate. This kind of love isn’t just a feeling, but a choice we make daily. It’s patient, kind, and endures all things. When we love like this, grudges and resentment go out the window.
Consider your relationships with others, both close and far – are there areas where you need to choose love more fervently? Perhaps there’s someone who’s difficult to love or a situation requiring extra grace. Ask God to fill you with His divine love today, enabling you to love others as He loves us. So, don’t try to love others for God’s sake, let God love others through you.
