And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

Revelation 22:12

If you knew Jesus was coming back in a week, how would it change your life, your priorities, your relationships, your devotion? Peter reminds us that the Chief Shepherd will appear, bringing eternal rewards. This promise of Christ’s return gives us both hope and purpose. 

So knowing Jesus’ return is immanent, how does that reality impact your daily life? Are you living with eternity in mind? Take time to evaluate your priorities and ask God to align your heart with His eternal perspective. Pray for a renewed sense of urgency in sharing the gospel and living for Christ. Think of those that might be left behind when you have been given the words of eternal life, the gospel of Christ.
