2 Corinthians 4:7

Paul speaks of being “hard pressed on every side but not crushed.” (2 Cor. 4:8, 17) Our sufferings are temporary, but they’re producing an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. Suffering is seasonal. No season lasts forever. The Lord will not call you into a season of suffering in which He won’t equip you to go through it. Only your belief, motivated by your love for Christ, will enable you to suffer for His sake and rejoice while you’re suffering. And what a witness that can be.

How have you experienced God’s presence in your darkest moments? So many time that is when He is the most real in our lives. If you’re in the midst of suffering now, invite God’s comforting presence into your pain. He will always meet you there because nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:35)
