2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Matthew’s transformation from tax collector to apostle demonstrates the radical change Jesus brings to our lives. “I once was lost, but now I’m found.” As new creations in Christ, we’re given a new identity and purpose. We went from running from God, to running to Him. This is the most powerful part of our testimony, a changed life.
It’s good to remember how your own purpose has been transformed since following Jesus. Think of where you might be today if that hadn’t happened. So how are you living out your role as Christ’s ambassador? Because that is God’s purpose for us as we redeem the time. Ask God to show you specific ways you can represent Him to others today, especially to those who might feel unworthy or far from God.
