2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Jesus didn’t just heal the woman and Jairus’ daughter physically; He restored them fully – socially, emotionally, and spiritually. In Christ, we too are offered complete restoration. As Joel 2:25 says, The Lord will restore what the locust have eaten.
Today’s passage speaks of the new creation we become in Christ. This newness isn’t just about eternity; it begins now as Christ works to restore every area of our lives. But let’s keep it personal. Are there areas in our lives that need Christ’s restorative touch? How can we open ourselves more fully to His transforming work? One way is to determine how we might partner with Christ in His ministry of reconciliation, helping others experience His restorative power.
