2 Thessalonians 3:1-2
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2
I love these words of closing Paul writes in his second letter to the Thessalonian saints. His ministry had often been faced with opposition and suffering, adversity and difficulty. Yet Paul asked the church to pray that the Word of God which he was preaching would have the same free run and much fruit that it had found amongst them there in Thessalonica. He asked that they pray that the faithless and wicked and unreasonable men who were always dogging his tail would be left in the dust as the Word of God gripped many hearts.
May we learn from Paul’s request here that ministry requires prayer and it is of immeasurable value for us to pray for one another’s ministries. Also, it is His Word we must share and we must expect opposition, for the enemy of our souls does not go down without a fight. As we go about our day today, may the Lord have you praying for the brethren and ready to share His Word! Opposition will come but so will the precious fruit of saved souls. I am praying God use you mightily today!
Bless them, Lord, as they go,
