2 Timothy 2:20-21
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
2 Timothy 2:20-21
Got any old crusty jars or vases in your cupboards? Do you tend to put them out that way or do you clean them up first? God desires to use each of us as instruments for His purpose. In marriage and in all relationships, we have the opportunity to be vessels of honor, useful to the Master. But if God pours Himself into a polluted vessel what comes out will be unusable.
Has it been a while since God has used your life for His glory. Maybe there are areas where you’ve been resisting His cleansing and shaping hand? Surrender those to Him today and ask for the grace to be a vessel through which His love and truth can flow to others. What a blessing to have God take us out of the cupboard and put us on the display shelf for all to see.
