Joshua 1:5

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.  I will not leave you nor forsake you.

Joshua 1:5

In the above verse, God told Joshua His plan and even though Joshua knew that the Lord was doing the right thing and that he was doing what God had asked of him, he still got scared and overwhelmed.  God knows our hearts, but I am thinking you could probably see it on Joshua’s face. Which is why God says here, “Joshua, I will be with you.”

When God calls me to live by faith I sometimes get scared and have my doubts.  But when I remember that these words to Joshua are the same words that the Lord has for me, I can have peace.  I know that my Lord in heaven is with me!

You may be going through a rough time right now or maybe your faith is being tested.  It is in those times that I need to come back to Joshua 1:5. When I remember that the Lord is with me and will not leave me, then I know that I will be ok.
