2 Timothy 1:12

2 Timothy 1:12

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

2 Timothy 1:12

In Paul’s last epistle, he again talked about his suffering, but as always, he was able to see the good side of it. He says in the verse above, I know in whom I believed. Paul isn’t trusting in a what but a who –Jesus Christ.

That’s the difference between Christianity and other religions. Other religions are based on what you do. You have to do a certain amount of good works or different rituals in order to get to Heaven. Christianity says you can’t do enough to earn your way to eternal life, but Jesus did all that’s required and we just have to believe in Him.

Who are you trusting for your salvation? There’s only one way, according to John 14:6, and that’s through the work of Jesus Christ.

Trusting in the One Way,

Pastor Ron Kitchell
