Psalm 118:8
It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:8
Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter in the Bible and Psalm 119 is by far the longest (longer actually than 13 Old Testament and 16 New Testament books). In between them is Psalm 118 and in it is found the exact middle of your Bibles, Psalm 118:8, our verse for today. The subject of this psalm, written anonymously it appears, is the great work of God in comparison to the ways of man upon the earth. The psalmist saw his realization of God’s glory as the source of his joy and peace.
One of his obvious conclusions is found in our verse: it is better to trust the Lord than to place any confidence in man. Let’s meditate on this verse today and ask the Lord to should us how often we can apply this glorious truth in our daily walks.
I trust Him!
