Psalm 143:8
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
Psalm 143:8
This is one of David’s prayers born out of grief and trial at the hands of his enemies, leaving him feeling overwhelmed and urgently crying out to God to intercede. There are many psalms that begin just like this because we, too, have lots of days where we feel an urgent need to hear from God now (Psalm 143:7)! David will detail the enemy’s moves against Him, but in our verses, he simply asks to hear from the Lord, to know His love as he continued to look to Him for deliverance. Guide my steps, Lord, as I set my life before you. David wants to know His love and care and see His guiding hand! What else do we truly need?
Knowing His love for me,
