1 Peter 4:1-2

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

1 Peter 4:1-2

Peter calls us to arm ourselves against the flesh and lusts of men. Christ suffered for our sins, how can we continue in them? We are called to be holy as our Father in Heaven is holy. Let us arm ourselves against the sin we face. 

We must prepare ourselves for this battle. We cannot rush in without our armor and weapons. Paul tells the Corinthians that while we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. Paul will also tell the Ephesians to put on the whole armor of God so that we can stand against the devil. 

Let us arm ourselves today and go to war against the things in our lives that do not belong, the things that are contrary to the will of God.
