John 6:35

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” 

John 6:35 

Jesus said the above statement to a crowd that was chasing after Him to multiply fish and loaves like He did when He fed the 5,000. He tells them they are far too concerned with physical things. They should be seeking spiritual things instead. If they eat the fish and loaves, they will hunger and thirst again. But if they believe in Him, they will never hunger spiritually. 

Just like food, we need our Savior to survive. Sure, we might be able to last a few days without Him, but we will eventually feel the effects. Then, just as if we went without food, eventually, we will perish. The same thing will happen to us spiritually without our Savior. We need Him if we are to survive spiritually.  

Let’s take some time today and make sure we are coming to Him and being filled up.
