Ephesians 4:31

Ephesians 4:31

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

Ephesians 4:31

The ideal life of a believer in Jesus includes the redemption of our mouths and tongues and the renewal of our hearts from which our words proceed. Imagine the glory of a body of believers whose words are not driven by any bitterness, wrath, clamor, malice, or evil intentions!

I am always so convicted when I realize after all these years how little progress I have made in pleasing the Lord with my speech. Bless, not curse, honor Him with all I say! How about we pray together to seek His help in honoring Him in this battle. Psalm 39:1 declares: I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, While the wicked are before me.”

May my words honor you, oh Lord,
