Philippians 4:9

Philippians 4:9

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:9

In the previous verse, Philippians 4:8, Paul encouraged us to meditate on all the good things about others and in all situations — those things that are pure and honorable and lovely and commendable. When we do, Paul writes,” the God of peace will be with you.” Paul learned to do this! He ministered to and with many different people; some were easy to get along with, and some were not. Paul also lived through many different situations in his life and some were filled with joy and exhilaration. But some were filled with pain and much difficulty. Yet through it all, Paul had the peace of God.

Do you want more of the peace of God in your life? Let’s learn from Paul. Look at the good in others. Look at the good, the honorable, and the lovely in all the situations that come your way. And Paul says when you do, the God of peace will be with you.

Walking peacefully with my Lord,
