Luke 10:3

Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.

Luke 10:3

As Jesus sent the 70 disciples out before him two-by-two, He told him that the harvest was great, but the laborers were few and that we should pray that the Lord would send out more laborers. He then said to them: “Go your way. I am sending you as lambs among wolves.”

It is quite an image to apply as we realize the world, like wolves, will seek to devour a lamb naturally, and yet it is to this end that we are sent for as laborers to reach the lost. We are sheep out looking for wolves to bring to our Great Shepherd. What a privilege, what a calling, what a work!
