John 4:6-10

John 4:6-10

Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus, therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, “Give me a drink,” you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

John 4:6-10

Jesus had an amazing way of reaching out and connecting with people no matter who they were. To this woman at the well, He spoke of living water. To Nicodemus, who was a little older, He spoke of being born again. To the blind, He called Himself the light of the world. To the fishermen, He invited them to be fishers of men.

Jesus was able to connect with others. He was able to relate to them no matter who they were and whatever their situation. I think it is important for us to be able to connect with others. And that is why God sends us all out to different places in this world. All of us, by the Spirit of God, have been moved around to different places in this world. And we can all make an impact as we connect with different people.

Jesus knew how to reach out to different people in ways they could relate to. May God use us to relate and reach out to all those we meet.

Seeking to make an impact,
