Hebrews 4:13

Hebrews 4:13

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:13

Have you ever sat down to read through the Bible and suddenly realize by what’s written there’s a spotlight beaming on your life? God’s Word does a high-resolution scan on our souls. There’s no room for pretenders here. God is omniscient (all-knowing) and omnipresent (everywhere at once), and He sees ALL; there’s no room for pretending.
Not even the deepest, darkest secrets can be hidden from Him, so why try? It’s like not going to the doctor when you KNOW something is wrong. You fear a bad report or don’t want to face a painful procedure.

So, to mature in our walks, we need to be willing to expose our hearts to the piercing sword of God’s Word, for sooner or later, that sword will find us out if we are merely pretenders.

Out from under the shadows,
Pastor Gerard Deleeuw
