2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:18
In closing his second letter, Peter returns to the opening blessing of his epistle. “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Peter 1:2). The Christian life is either a life of growth or a life of deterioration. You’re either moving forward or slipping backward. Our growth must be in both grace and in knowledge.
But if grace comes from God, how can we grow in it? By simply receiving it and letting His grace change and direct our behavior and lives from the inside out. Give yourself this simple test: Have I come to that place where past temptations no longer have the same strong appeal? Am I demonstrating more unconditional love for those around me? Am I more in love with and closer to God then the day I surrendered my heart to Him? If your answer is yes, then you are growing in His grace.
