2 Kings 5:11
But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.”
2 Kings 5:11
The Lord doesn’t always work in the way we think or expect him to. Naaman thought that Elijah was going to come out and wave his hands and shout to the heavens and he would be miraculously healed from his leprosy. Instead, Elijah said go and wash in the river seven times.
Often God isn’t going to work in the way we think he will. And oftentimes God just wants simple obedience from us like He did with Naaman here in 2 Kings 5. God will always surprise us in the way He works and what He chooses to do. So the best course of action for us will always be simple obedience to what He tells us to do.
What is the Lord asking you to do today?
Washing in the river,
