Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6
The root of our response to Christ’s superiority in all things, is faith. We exercise faith every day when we: step into a building, take an elevator, mail a letter, make a bank deposit, see a doctor, take the prescribed pills. The difference is the object of our faith. Our faith is only as good as the object we put it in. A.W. Towzer once said, “The true Christian feels supreme love for One whom he has never seen, talks familiarly every day to someone he cannot see…sees the invisible, hears the inaudible, and knows that which passes knowledge.”
A life of faith presupposes an attitude of humble dependance, which works itself out in 3 ways. 1.) By faith we come to God as the source of everything. 2.) By faith we believe that He is. 3.) By faith we trust Him to keep His Word and that He has promised to reward those who seek Him. So, a person of faith believes what God says without question and does what God says without quarrelling.
Keeping the faith,
