And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.

Acts 6:5-6

The appointment of the seven men to serve shows that servant leadership is highly valued in God’s kingdom. Stephen, described as full of faith and the Holy Spirit, exemplifies this calling. Serving is a profound act of worship. Do you see serving as a burden or a privilege? 

Reflect on how you can serve within your family, church, or community. Your testimony and actions, led by the Holy Spirit, can speak volumes about God’s love to the world.
