Nehemiah 6:3

So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?”

Nehemiah 6:3 

Nehemiah and his men had almost completed building the wall. However, it had not been easy. There had been constant attacks and threats all along the way. Here again, the enemy seeks to get Nehemiah to come down from the wall and stop the work. The enemy is always seeking to stop God’s work in your life. He does this through discouragement, disobedience, or distraction. However, Nehemiah knew that what he was called to was a great work because God was the one who called him. Therefore, he did not come down.

In your life today, God has called you to great work as well. Don’t allow the enemy to pull you down or to discourage you. Keep moving forward in the will of God on your life, knowing that God has called you and He will strengthen you along the way.
