Ephesians 6:17

Our minds are often the battlefield where spiritual warfare is waged. The helmet of salvation protects our thoughts, reminding us of our secure position in Christ. We can filter all of life’s challenges through the reality of our salvation, we are no longer our own, we’ve been bought with a price. We belong to our loving Savior Jesus Christ.

Along with this protective gear, we’re given an offensive weapon – the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This isn’t just about Bible knowledge, but about allowing God’s Word to be “living and powerful” in our lives. How can you make God’s Word more central in your daily life? Consider memorizing a verse that speaks to a current struggle you’re facing. Let God’s Word be your weapon against doubt, fear, and temptation and remind yourself, “I’m a child of the King!”
