Psalm 23:2
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
Psalm 23:2
Previously, we explored God as our shepherd. Today, we focus on finding peace in His presence. Paul’s words in Philippians echo the tranquil scenes of Psalm 23 – lying down in green pastures and being led beside still waters. In a world full of anxiety, God calls us to bring our worries to Him in prayer. (Philippians 4:6)
As you read this verse, consider: What anxieties are you carrying today? Practice presenting these to God, laying them at His feet. Remember, God’s peace surpasses all understanding. It’s not the absence of trouble, but the presence of God, in the midst of it, that brings this peace. Then consciously choose to dwell on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy, allowing God’s peace to guard your heart and mind.
