Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
Jesus laid out the conditions of discipleship clearly: deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Him. This call to die to self is counterintuitive in our self-focused world, yet it’s the path to true life and freedom in Christ.
Peter learned this lesson through his failures and restoration. His eventual willingness to fully surrender led to a life of powerful ministry and unwavering faith. So where does that leave us? What areas of our lives are we still clinging to? What rights or desires are we reluctant to relinquish?
Solution? Let’s put ourselves out there. Practice saying “no” to self and “yes” to God in a specific way today, trusting that in losing your life for His sake, you will truly find it.
