Mark 2:3-4

Mark 2:3-4

Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.

Mark 2:3-4

These verses showcase the remarkable faith of four friends who brought a paralyzed man to Jesus. Their persistence in the face of obstacles – even to the point of breaking through a roof – demonstrates the kind of faith that moves the heart of God. Their whole objective was; bring their infirmed friend to Jesus no matter what it took. The love that motivates us to bring loved ones to Jesus could be the means in which those who don’t know Christ in our lives, experience His love and His power.

How might you exercise persistent faith to overcome the obstacles that keep us from Jesus? Remember that He sees and honors such faith. Consider how you can be like these friends, bringing others to Jesus through prayer, encouragement, or practical support. Ask God to strengthen your faith and give you the courage to persist in seeking Him, no matter the challenges.
