2 Corinthians 12:7-9
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:7-9
Our weaknesses and struggles are not obstacles to God’s work in our lives, but opportunities for His power to be displayed. Paul learned to boast in his weaknesses, knowing that God’s grace was sufficient. Like the story of the man with the withered hand that Jesus healed, our areas of brokenness can become platforms for God’s miraculous work.
None of us have to think too far to recognize our own weaknesses or struggles. Our challenge is that God might want to use these very areas to demonstrate His power and grace? So that we too can thank Him for His strength made perfect in our weakness, and ask for eyes to see how He might be working through our challenges.
