Mark 3:13-15

Mark 3:13-15

And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons.

Mark 3:13-15

Jesus called those “He Himself wanted” to be His disciples. Which is why it is so crucial to keep in mind that God’s call on our lives originates in His heart, not our qualifications. It’s sobering to think that God has called us, despite our imperfections. Like Peter, who was impulsive yet became a “rock,” God sees our potential, not just our present state. The Lord doesn’t choose perfect people. He chooses people who see their need and are willing to simply follow him and say yes to the call.

Through your prayer time, reading His Word and fellowship with believers; you can gain a sensitivity to God’s call in your life. What area is He inviting you to grow in? This could be the very direction in which He wants to use you. Once it’s pointed out; be willing to say “yes” to His invitation, trusting that He will equip you for the task?
